Physiology of the Python
Pythons can turn off the production of digestive ensimes in their intestine and stomach. When a meal is taken, when they start to stretch out the front of their body to swallow such a huge preitem, the digestive system reactivates it. The heart can actually increase in mass by about forty%. So this whole physiology then turns on to this feast time where they can gear up to digest the pray and circulate all the nutrients they've got from it. And its fine control like that has usually amazingly complex genetic under pinnings for our own health.
