The SD dot m file is hidden from version control. It won't show up on GitHub. I recommend to commit a dot amp dot example file with the same strings with the same keys. The only time that's going to scream and crash is when you actually try to register a new user or not log in an existing one. And then like you, you push it to production and bad things happen.
