The Physiological Response to Trauma
When we have experience to trauma, you will not remember it as a normal memory. It is a traumatic memory that lives in a totally different part of your brain than normal memories do. And whenever someone who has been traumatized is exposed to anything that is similar to that past like a life threatening experience, this huge traumatic stress response will be triggered and they will essentially re-experience the terror and the horror and the paralysis of the original traumatic experience. So I just wanted to mention that if you've lived through that and you're experiencing symptoms of like capital T trauma, post traumatic stress disorder, you can absolutely heal and you deserve to have effective treatment.
