How did owen and others come to a covenantal understanding? It isn't from bible word searches. Karl truman says, it is a conceptual vocabulary am up developed in a careful relation to both of these things. We have aa trinitarian god. How is he going to relate to us? What does the bible say? How do e understand language when we think about these big philosophical concepts? Because they are great, because the bible has philosophical contact concepts.
