The long way round is to look at the passage, see what it meant to its original hearers, then show howit high lights what the lord jesus has done an who he is and his mission. And then implications that come as rel i think some of us who communicate the bible, teach the bible, we can have a tendency to run pretty quickly to deciding what we're going to say about it. If we don't do that, then we will make the bible legalistic, and we will miss out on the lord JESUS.
