What Do You Think About the 19 Seventies?
In many ways, the situation that we're in to day looks much more like the 19 seventies. Yet workers ofviusly have far less power to day than they did in the 19 Seventies. We had the same problem that jeremy corbin faced in terms of a parliamentary labour party that was predominantly right wing and hostile to any notions of radicalism. The trend associated with callahan and harold wilson was very strong. But there wasn't a perspective of coalescing that strength into a decisive push to change the social economic model which only started to develop once labor had lost power in 19 79.
