The Fed's Attention to the Labor Market
The banking system is very local, which in an economy as large as the United States can be as variegated and differentiated among regions. I'm expecting them to tighten next week unless this really falls apart,. But it also wouldn't surprise me if they took a pause after that to see how their policies are impacting the economy because monetary policy obviously acts with a lag.
