Tootsie Rose and the Korean War

The first Marine division in the Korean War ran out of ammunition and they called them Tootsie rolls. They were parachuted on the front and they weren't ammunition, but the troops ate them because they also did need a little bit of nourishment. And so that is often like they're kind of heralded as heroic in that regard.
