I think anchoring is setting the initial terms of a negotiation. Even if you're not doing it at your full time job, even if you're just negotiating your phone bill or like a side hustle contract, you're going to build those skills and that in itself is super valuable. We did a study in like 80% of people negotiate the price of their house. So why do we shy away from that conversation when it's equally or more important than your mortgage? I can be uncomfortable for 20 minutes if it's going to pay me for the rest of my life.
