Code Switching: How to Change People's Hearts
RJ: I think a lot of this equity language stuff, it feels to me increasingly like code switching. It also just assumes a rightness that's very classes to me. And in fact, if you're in academia, all the kids who have any sort of traditional leanings have to learn to speak two languages. But I think that the attempt to change people's hearts by changing the words they use is simply it's profoundly wrong.
