Macbeth's Beading for Darkness

Macbeth and Lady Macbeth's begging for darkness is less to hide their deeds from others and more an attempt to hide it from themselves. The next morning the slain king is discovered and we can see where Melville learned how to write Macduff upon seeing the body says confusion now has made his masterpiece. My personal favorite adaptation of this scene comes in the Justin Curzel 2015 film adaptation with Michael Fassbender as Macbeth and Marian Cottalard as Lady MacBeth watching these two put their false faces on and pretend to only then be discovering the king's corpse is quite a feat of acting and directing.
