Timothy Leary got his PhD at UC Berkeley in our Department of Psychology. Alan Watson landed down in Esslyn and did a lot of his work in spreading ideas about Zen very close by in Big Sur. I think that why is the Bay Area in particular in Los Angeles, you know, such a hotspot for counter cultural thinking. It's 40% Mexican American, big Asian population in the very end. And then sex, drugs and rock and roll,you know, late 60s. Yeah.
