In the early spring of 2020, scientists saw this emerging pathogen and wondered what we could do to help understand what it's doing. We built a model called Simcove, which is a spatial immune model of coronavirus. And our goal was to model not directly the epidemic spread between people but to model how the virus spreads within a host.
