The Effect of Government Size on Per Capita Growth

Since 1971 through the present, the government share has increased from about 25% of GDP to about 34% of GDP. In other words, we increase the government share through either direct deficit or by cooperation with the Federal Reserve. You get a bigger government share, you get a big, a smaller private share. The per capita growth rate comes down and it's been historically shown that this exacerbates incoming wealth divides.
