The Cross-Stressor Hypothesis
Cross-stressor hypothesis is the idea that physical activity can help with psychological stress. Ex-military vets have noticed over a thousand years of training soldiers that fit our soldiers seem to be able to handle more psychological stress. When you're stressed, whether it's physical or psychological stress, it's very similar. So I hypothesize that by doing hard physical training, you are enhancing your ability to tolerate higher levels of stress hormones.
