How to Conduct a Successful Clinical Trial
I really appreciate the fact that it's a clearly written paper and supplement, which is important. I also like the fact that you adapted your trial size and that process was very robust. It certainly helps when you're designing other trials to see. So we're not reinventing the wheel each time. But what about if they hadn't? What if there had been a 10% improvement in the physiological outcome, but a doubling of the mortality? We'll come back to whether the trial was maybe underpowered to start with.
