Poetry is a language that has to be penetrated. It doesn't shut you off. It's the rhythm. And then you get what Joyce calls the radiance, the epiphany. The whiteness is the bamam. Somehow the circle suggests immediately and completed totality whether in time or in space. No beginning, no end. Within the circle is one thing. It is encircled. But the temporal aspect of the circle is you leave, go somewhere, and come back to the Alpha and don't need it. God is the Alpha and Omega, the Source and the End.
