When Universal Studios optioned this book to turn it into a film, they had in mind a loncene. And then lanchene died of cancer, just before they started production. So you do wonder, don't you, what kind of a dracular would lonceni have played in this movie if he was still alive? You know, would he have been a much more monstrous version than bella is? I seem to recall reading that he was supposed to be dracular and van helsik, that's right. There would have been a lot of make up to make those two characters different, for sure, i think.
