Public works is a programme that we do in collaboration with community base groups. It serves undeserved populations of eskines the fortune society in queens, which primarily serves formally incarcerated people. We have affiliates around the country and even abroad. The national theatre of great rtain has adopted the public works programme. This year we added 14 more associate theatres. And so now twice a year, and soon three times a year, we take shows to prisons, to hafe way houses,. meaningt where the audiences have the least access to a work. Once you'v perform shakespeare for a prison audience, you realize that human's need for these stories is as basic as their need for food
