Air Heart and the Coast Guard

Amelia Earhart and Fred Noonan were declared lost at sea on the 18th of July 1937. The US Coast Guard vessel realized they'd lost contact with Amelia's plane, They dispatched a massive air and sea search. President Franklin Delano Roosevelt authorized an estimated $4 million for the operation. On the 5th of January 1939, 18 months after her disappearance, air heart was legally declared dead by the superior court of LA.
