The Birth of Tragedy

Nietzsche thought that Schopenhauer and the Greeks had been armed to something. In his view everything got thinner, robbed of a certain kind of fundamental primal energy which was stolen together with Dionysus. The end of the birth of Tragedy is actually about the rebirth of Tragedies. And he thinks that now, he was obviously writing the late 19th century, now means modernity in general,. it might be possible to have this kind of culture sustaining art form again.
