Using Descriptor Templates for a Ledger Hardware Wallet
The idea of using descriptor templates or something like that has been kind of rediscovered over and over in many different settings. And for me, in this idea that I'm developing of what I call wallet policies, the idea came out while I was trying to support multi-signatory in the best possible way for ledger hardware wallets. The problem that it tries to solve is the following. There is this language called output descriptors that is basically able to describe all these spending policies that you can use. You can combine that with mini-script that basically extends output descriptors. This allows interoperability because any software that understandsdescriptor will now be able to understand how these things should be signed
