The biggest issue is that they've already been targeted while they've been in the UK. It's put a bit more of a target on their back, which is really harsh when they're grappling with horrific mental battles. The idea that there was any kind of pretense that these were somehow senior national team players is really quite ridiculous. So it's sad because it feeds an anti-refugee narrative that really doesn't need feeding in a really horrible way.
