The Evolution of Status
Status is an unconscious obsession for all of us. It's kind of a bad strategy to admit to other people that we're interested in status. The more valuable you prove yourself, the higher your status and the better everything else got in your life - including connection and love. And so it becomes this basic fundamental rule in the human brain, go for status. If you go for status, everything else gets better.
