Open collective incorporated itself as form that v c could engage with, and then was picky about the v c that it worked with. It has taken six years to build up this company, and we didn't even start talking about exits or structural changes until we got past break even financially. An exit is where, a, the initial investors and the founders, who will be holding all the shares of the company, exit by selling them. But at exits, the investors get their money back, the founders get a bit of a pay off, and then people can move on.
