The Importance of Connection Over Correction
A lot of us are uncomfortable with our own emotions, we're tend to be uncomfortable with other people's emotions. Being with somebody in their emotions is what I call emotion validation. You see somebody that they are having a negative experience, emotional experience, and you choose to be with them in that. And that's the opposite of toxic positivity, in my opinion. A tip that I have, because at the end of the day, if somebody's being toxically positive towards us, I think it's really important that we have to advocate and let them know.
