CHAPTER

Is There an End Game?

In data, the first step is a pretty decisive one like in a marathon. But then how do I basically survive or insist persist when inevitably there's going to be crisis? Yeah. You're going to start to crush. That moment is a truth moment that most of us have been through. And it's tough because it's the moment in which someone will basically say, okay, what do you need to do? What can you show to that? What is the point of this?

I

think he's the best preamble of all that. And now lots of people are

Americans every year. I'm not saying anything here. But so but aside from that, yes, there is there is a as I was saying before, probably in data, the first step is a pretty decisive one like in a marathon. But then how do I basically survive or insist persist when inevitably there's going to be crisis? Yeah. You're going to start to crush. Yeah. Right. And that moment is a truth moment that most of us have been through. And it's tough because it's the moment in which someone will basically say, okay, what do you need to do? What can you show to that? What is the point of this? And that's you can as an athlete, you can put it back to the voices in your head when they say, that's enough. I'm too tired. Yeah. I want to I'm off. Let get me out of this. Right. So how do you find the internal resources that I'm going to allow you to push through that? Yeah. And that's in data. I've seen that at least two or three example in my life that
Speaker 2
exactly what that my point actually about the kind of like going from nothing to 1k to 5k is that these sort of micro wins if you like. So yeah, obviously the end if your end result is to run the marathon, then you might not be satisfied until you run the marathon. And actually, this suggests there's an end game and we know there's not particularly necessarily an end sort of finish line with data. But but those wins along the way, my ability to control my calories, my ability to run one kilometer, my ability to speed up my 5k time, those are all they're all good. They're all good things. They're all they're all wins that I can celebrate. The people around me should be happy for because I'm progressing towards my goal. Yeah, there is a I think I always think there is a bit of a
Speaker 1
drawback or a potential backlash that which is sometimes people are focusing. We need to get some quick wins, right? But those quick wins sometimes are also short wins. So they are kind of
Speaker 2
they don't last too much.
