Quantum computers cannot break the current size key lengths. NIST, the US government standards body is currently having a competition in post quantum algorithms. The cryptography is going to be well ahead of the physics. We will get these algorithms well before we're going to need them. What is called crypto agility, the ability to swap algorithms.
