Kotlin adoption at Instagram has definitely been a journey. I'm a huge fan of using co-gen as a way to improve type coverage. One area that you've been particularly involved in is Kotlin adoption. Can you talk us through what the early days of Kotlin at Instagram are like? Yes. This was when we shipped Buck support for Kotlin and Buck is our build chain at meta. We got neutral results, which is a good thing. In this case, we didn't see any actual tangible differences between Java and Kotlin.
