The Importance of Representation
At the time, I was like, everybody thinks I'm a little kid and I don't know what I'm doing. And so because of that, I expected that people weren't gonna take me seriously or that I needed to really, really hustle in order for them to take me seriously. That's why it's so important to have like representation and to see other people doing these cool things. But I was really caught up in that narrative. Like you see kids on Shark Tank and one of my great inspirations at that time was Hayley Kilpatrick, who is the founder of Girl Talk.
