The Byzantine Empire

The byzantine empire had established its own position in terms of its relationship with christianity. This might have even been the sixth time that the city was besieged in a 100 year period, either by the ros or the bulgarians. The emperor wrote a book called the administrando imperial which he wrote as a guide for his young son on how to govern the empire. Rather than this having any instruction regarding religious matters, it was more geared towards international diplomacy. And it seems that rather than follow his father's written advice, he was far more interested in sexual deviants and drinking.
