The permorians were the first in ireland, arriving with 200 men 600 women. They may have been responsible for the building of many of the earliest megalithic monuments. The ulstra cycle is a body of heroic mediaeval legends and hero sagas. Perhaps the most famous is an early mediaeval epoc called a tan balkoli which is commonly known as the cattle raid of cooli or the tan.
