The Importance of Empathy in the Film
I think the film does a great job of making all these points and raising all these issues without lecturing the viewer. The historical record is the historical record, but being able to kind of empathize with people in the immediate present who have a good reason for doing what they're doing is significantly more powerful. I hope as many people as watch Star Wars watch this movie, but what do you want them to do? What if they all go and blow up a pipeline? You do very well with it though, maybe.
