The History of Ward's Company

By 1980, Ward's company had 36 circuit city style stores. The company also acquired a New York retailer called Lafayette Radio Electronics Corporation. In 1983, sales hit $246 million. This is the year that the Wards Company finally transformed officially into Circuit City.
