The Isabelle Street Garden Museum
Isabelle Street Garden Museum was built around this glass covered garden courtyard which was like the first of its kind in America. She bought land and hires an architect named Willard T Sears to build a museum inspired by the Venetian Renaissance palaces. After the building is ready gardeners spend a year really carefully installing her collection according to her personal aesthetics so she when you walk in everything is where she designated it and where she decided to put it. Her husband asked that she not have a display because he thought it would be too scandalous but after he died she put it up in the gothic room.
