The presidential election is set for this november. As conservative president sebastian pineta's term comes to an end. Gabriel burich, a legislator and former student leader from the party converensia social defeated communist party mayor daniel hadway in an upset win mayoral primary. The traditional political parties including the socialist party most recently brought president michel bachelet to power are also at odds with each other. And so now i'm going to give a brief over view to orient you to chilean politics.
