The Myth of Debt Free Rentals

In the last three to four years, my free and clear properties have appreciated just as much as someone's leveraged properties with debt. So owning a free and clear property is not a negative inflation hedge. Your properties are going to tend to keep up with inflation if you buy in locations that have good demand, low supply.
