The book is called Bitcoin a Work in Progress. So basically I kind of went through like, you know, Satoshi was just activating softworks,. And then there was a lot of drama around SegWid. My guesses would have been fine with BIP-9, especially given what happened to Speedy trial. The whole point of using miners to activate a soft work is to make it safe.
