Since you mentioned Postman, I did have one question from your book. Is it Postman who points out before the telegraph, nobody could get information faster than a horse could run? I don't remember that line, but that sounds like him. And he talks about the idea that print culture creates a linear sense of time and story. But what I didn't understand is that that's assuming that linearity is more valuable than nonlinearity.
