CASPS - Unhosted Wallets
CASPS will be required to collect information and apply enhanced due diligence measures with respect to all transfers involving independent wallets on a risk basis. Verification of the identity of the beneficial owner of the independent wallet will be mandatory for large transfers above a thousand euros. A list of CASPS providing services abusively in the EU will be introduced in the context of the MICA regulation. Robust safeguards for data protection, information will only be available to CASPS executing the transfers and confident authorities.
