The Inquest Report
The inquest report cites that in the 1970s, the Supreme Court of Canada ruled that high levels of inflation could constitute a national emergency. The Canadian Civil Liberties Association launched a judicial review precisely because we believe that would be the best venue to test the government's claims about the legality of using the Emergencies Act.
