Any time we test an idea, we need to do so both from the perspective of faith and reason. I hate to say it, but i'm afraid that a lot of people writing and speaking in this area don't take the needed approach. Some take a close minded approach, where they don't give the evidence a fair shake. Others take an uncritical approach and don't weed out bad or weak data.
