Lawn Mowers That Worked

The steam powered lawn mowers were a thing briefly, and not steam engines had already been used for trains for decades. A furnace heats the boiler up, the water starts to boil off, and the steam builds up and passes through valves to a cylinder that has a piston in it. Attaching mechanical elements to the piston via a piston rod, allows you to transfer that mechanical motion to other components, such as the wheels and the cutting blades of a lawn mower.
