Foot strike has nothing to do with race times, according to a new study. 89% of runners in the Boston Marathon were heel strikers. Being an over strider can increase your risk of running injuries like van centrom achilles and tenonitus. It all depends on the type of heel striker you are - if you're landing underneath your hips or close under your centre of mass it may not be that bad.
