Propofol Causes Apnea With High Doses?
The induction dose for propofol is 1.5 to 2.5 milligrams per kilogram. Apnea only occurs in 25 to 35% of patients after an induction dose, Jillian says. Propofol has more cardiovascular depression effects than thiopental and may make you feel a little bit better because it makes you "happier"
