I read this week somewhere that Anne introduced Henry to the divine right of kings. Is that correct? It's not quite correct, but I know what the person was suggesting by it. What Anne did was introduce Henry to a book by William Tyndale called the Obedience of a Christian Man. And in it was the idea that it was shameful for kings to be under the authority of popes and that it inverted the divine order.
