In the early goings in 1970 when he wrote Creative Synthesis, Hartzorn called this series of arguments this kind of cumulative argument. But later on, he thought, no, that's a bad word because there's no such thing as a knockdown proof of God's existence. The fact that we have to tell children it will all be okay, even though we can't know that is built into the fabric of being a human being. It doesn't prove that everything will be okay. But it points outside of what we can prove, what we can know.
