The first mention of ADHD like traits actually goes back to the 1700s. In 1798, a Scottish physician called Sir Alexander Kritchden wrote a book on Attention and Its Diseases. A lot of people have this conception that ADHD is just this new fangled thing that's related to the rise of video games and technology. The neuro diversity movement comes from the wider disability movement.
