Why Did Joseph Alston Choose the Sea?
Theo Alston's father didn't like her going into the sea, especially because she is a prominent figure's daughter. He arranged to have his friend Dr. Timothy Green travel from Boston to South Carolina and then accompany Theo to New York. On December 30th, a day before they were leaving, both were ferried to the patriot in Georgetown Harbor. When the adosia failed to show up for work a week later, Joseph Alston was forced to burn it down.
