The Anti-Colonial High Horse

Fertility is falling in poor countries today way faster than it fell in the European countries. It's happening because Western countries through media, through nonprofit organizations, through government to government relations, through coercion. We've kind of sold them a bill of goods and said like, look, if you reduce your family size, it's going to cause rapid industrialization. This isn't true. Countries that had stricter family policies like 40 years ago did not have slower growth and carbon emissions. And so I would argue that since we broke it in terms of pro-natalism, West has to find a solution.
